Description: Originally choreographed in 2015 right when my good friend Super Duper Kyle’s album Smyle dropped I never had a chance to shoot an official video for this piece. But when it was time to send in our submission for WOD I didn’t want to waste the opportunity of a video shoot on something i’ve already released. So me and the boys went back through the vault and picked out two pieces that we thought were up to par with my current material at the time (nov. ’17) and 1 of the 2 pieces was SuperDuperHero (featuring my awesome friend Brick). We picked the piece cause the choreo had a good balance of character/performance quality as well as intricate physical choreo on parts like the beat drop. Fun facts : most of the dancers learned both 2min pieces earlier that day. then immediately learned the staging. wardrobe was purchased on our dinner break before we started shooting. we shot both pieces and the interview all in one night in one room and changed the looks as many ways as possible with just a couple lights and a fog machine. dancers : trevor takemoto, jordan viscomi, bong buno, hugh aparente, connor gormley, anthony westlake, ian eastwood directed/choreographed/edited/colored : ian eastwood cinematography : gerald nonato
